Progress
Part 1
Firstly, I tried to find the infographic poster from Pinterest. For sir's
reminder, he suggested we search for the bad design so the reference and our
final will have the comparison. I found 4 references.
For reference #1, there are too many words and any icon, so this poster looks
so boring and so full.
Reference #1
For reference #2, there are some icons but they look too dull. They are too
simple. The layout is also too simple. Then, there are also too many words.
Reference #2
For reference #3, it looks too messy. For reference #4, it also has too many words. We can't see the most important point at first glance.
Reference #4
I choose Reference #1. Because this reference has a lot of places to improve.Reference #1
After I choose the reference, I tried to look for the go layout for doing a
new poster.
After I found the layout reference, I tried to draw some sketches. I draw 4
sketches.
After I did the sketch, I picked sketch #3 for doing my final poster. I choose
it because I like the island-to-island content and each island represents each
content.
Since the references that I found are too many word, I summarise it. To make
it easy to read, I also make it into categories:
Shopping Choices:
Shop LocalBuy LessGo Plastic-Free
Food Choices:
Buy OrganicEat Less Meat
Transportation:
Walk / CycleTravel Locally
Environmental Protection:
Plant & ProtectUse Green Energy
Community & Influence:
Lead by ExampleSupport Policies
Then, I start to do it in Illustrator.
Part 2
I tried to assign animation of each part.
After I assigned the part, I started to make it using After Effects.
For the earth, I want it to rotate itself so I use the expression rotation
to make it. I set it to time *10.
To make the item, I will repeat the setting until the end of the video, so
I set the expression of each item.
I also added a suitable background music to this video.

Reflection
In this project, I learned how to use visuals, colors, and animation to make information clear and engaging. I started by choosing a reference infographic and studied what worked well and what could be improved. Then, I redesigned it into an A4 poster, focusing on better layout, clear typography, and a simple design. After that, I turned the poster into a short looping animation. This part was exciting because I had to think about timing, smooth transitions, and movement to keep the information easy to understand. I also had to make sure the animation was not too fast or too slow. Through this project, I improved my design and animation skills. I now understand how visual hierarchy, typography, and colors affect how people read and understand information. It was a great learning experience, and I enjoyed creating both the static and animated versions of the infographic.
