REFLECTION
Experience
During the typography classes, I had the opportunity to engage in hands-on exercises and projects that allowed me to explore and experiment with various type expressions. Through experimentation, I discovered the power of typography in conveying different emotions and messages. I learned how to manipulate letterforms, spacing, and composition to create visually compelling and meaningful designs. These experiences helped me develop a deep appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship involved in typographic design.

Observations
Throughout the classes, I observed the importance of attention to detail in typography. Even the smallest adjustments in letter spacing or font choice can significantly impact the overall visual impact and readability of a design. I also noticed the significance of hierarchy and visual hierarchy in effectively communicating information through typography. The strategic use of different font weights, sizes, and styles can guide the viewer's eye and create a clear visual structure.

Findings
Through the classes, I discovered the potential of animated type expressions in adding a dynamic and engaging element to designs. By animating typography, I found that I could bring text to life, create visual interest, and effectively communicate messages in a captivating manner. Additionally, I learned how to use text formatting techniques such as kerning, leading, and tracking to improve legibility and aesthetic appeal.

In my typographic exploration and communication classes, I found that the layout plays a crucial role in effectively conveying information. The arrangement of text, images, and other design elements can significantly impact the overall visual balance and readability of a design. I also learned the importance of considering the target audience and the context in which the design will be viewed, as this influences the choice of typography and layout decisions.

Font design classes provided me with a deeper understanding of the intricate process behind creating typefaces. I learned about the anatomy of letterforms, type classifications, and the technical aspects involved in font creation. This knowledge allowed me to appreciate the craftsmanship and precision required to design a well-crafted typeface.

Overall, my typography classes have been an enriching and rewarding experience. I have developed a deeper understanding of typography as a form of visual communication and have acquired practical skills that I can apply to my future design endeavors.
