INSTRUCTION

Exercise 1: Bouncing Ball Animation
For this exercise, we need to do 5 kinds of bouncing ball animation: soccer ball, ping pong, bowling ball, beach ball and squash and stretch ball.

Here are my references:

Soccer ball:

This is my first version of a soccer ball animation. However, after receiving the feedback I knew that the timing was incorrect. So I do Version 2 for the soccer ball.
The final video of the Soccer Ball
Pingpong ball:
I also do two versions for ping-pong balls because of the timing problem.

Here is the first version which is the wrong-timing version:

Here is the second version:

Bowling ball:
I also had the wrong timing for the first version of the bowling ball animation.

The second version of the bowling ball animation:

Beach Ball:
Beach ball only has one version because the timing is good.

Squash and Stretch ball:

Exercise 2:
Pendulum Animation
For this exercise, we need to do a pendulum swing animation.

First, try doing this exercise:

This one I did before sir teaching so it looks very weird and it is all wrong.

After I see the demo in class I make this:

For this version, when the pendulum wanted to stop it stuck too fast. It looked weird so I tried to adjust the last part to make it not so weird.

Exercise 3:Emotion Pose
For this exercise, we need to download the rig first which is snow from https://studio.blender.org/characters/snow/v2/. Then we need to find references to 4 emotions which are happy, sad, angry, and scared. We need to do those emotional poses by using the rig.

I found the references from Pinterest.
Happy pose:

Angry pose:
Sad pose:

Scared pose:
Here are the draws of pose silhouette and pose study:

After the draws, I start to make the pose in the blender.

Reflection

In these exercises, I am learning how to use Blender to create animations. This is my first time working with 3D animation, so I am discovering many basic concepts and tools. I have learned that timing is very important in animation, whether it is 2D or 3D. Good timing helps make the animation look smooth and realistic. I am practising different techniques and trying to understand how to make my animations better. Overall, I am enjoying the process and looking forward to improving my skills!
