INSTRUCTION




Project 1: Hard Surface Modeling
We need to choose hard surface objects in any of these categories, which are vehicle weapons, robots and, machines.

First of all, I tried to find some references which are suitable for this project.
Reference

The reference I picked is the ice magic sceptre.

Model Progress
First of all, I do the stick. I use the cylinder to do the stick.

After that, I do the top part. I use Sphere to do the top part
Then, this curve I used the circle to do it .
For this part, I used the knife tool to cut the hole.
For the diamond shape, I used to cube to make it,
After that control+S+Z to adjust the height.

I make them thicker

I make the sphere to the texture of ice to make it more look like the reference.
Lighting
I also improve the lighting part. Excluding the white light, I added a warm colour light and a cool colour light. I added warm colour light because we can see warm colours at the top left part in the reference. The cool light is used to neutralise warm light.


Final Output



Reflection
I learn a lot from this project. I learn the lighting skill. After observing the picture, we will find that there is a lot of detail to do for reference like the warm light of the reference. I also learn the shading skill. After this project, I can render the ice texture and the diamond texture.
