Video and Sound Production -Project 1: Sound Dubbing and Shaping
8.9.2023-24.9.2023 (Week 2-Week 4)
First of all, I did the spreadsheet. In the spreadsheet, we can clearly see what
audio I have used, what are the dialogues in the video, and the type of
sound.
For part of the audio, I included constant power if you put it in the front,
it will go from a low voice to a loud voice. When placed in the back, it
gradually changes to a low voice until there is no sound at all.
I also used the essential sound figure to make the daughter's sound sound like
came out from the phone.

Project 1A: Audio Dubbing
Progress
For Project 1, we received a silent video. The video needs sound, which we
must add. The dialogue must be recorded by us, and the website must be used to
find the ambiance sound and hard sounds.

There are 10 audio tracks in my timeline (Dialogue: Audio track 1-4 (one character one trac), Hard Sound Effects:
Audio tracks 5-7, Ambience Sound: Audio tracks 8-10)

For the dialogue, I try to change my own voice to the man's voice. I also
changed my voice to a cute voice.

Exercise 2: Sound Shaping
In this project, we are required to record their own 5-second voice clip.
Subsequently, we need to edit the voice into five different versions,
simulating a call, a voice coming from inside a closet, a toilet, an
underground cave, and the voice of a big stadium using Adobe Audition.

Audio Dubbing
In this project, my primary objective is identifying the most fitting audio
for the video content. This entails a meticulous process of carefully
listening to each piece of audio and meticulously matching it to the video's
visual elements. This task has not only tested my patience but also allowed me
to enhance my proficiency in using Premiere Pro, particularly in the domain of
sound editing. I dedicated considerable time to precisely adjusting every
audio element to ensure seamless integration with the video, resulting in a
more cohesive and engaging final outcome.
Embarking on this project was a unique and creatively challenging experience
that pushed me to explore the diverse capabilities of sound editing. The
initial task seemed deceptively simple – recording a 5-second voice clip.
However, as I delved into the world of Adobe Audition, I found myself immersed
in the art of manipulating sound to evoke specific environments. Crafting
variations that simulated a call, a voice emerging from a closet, the
resonance of a toilet, the echoes of an underground cave, and the amplified
ambience of a massive stadium demanded meticulous attention to detail. Each
edit became a canvas for experimenting with different effects and filters,
transforming my voice into a narrative tool that could transport listeners to
varied settings. This project not only honed my technical skills in audio
editing but also heightened my appreciation for the nuanced ways in which
sound can shape and redefine our perceptions of space.
